Grandpa's Wedding

Dear Owen,
This past weekend we went to Chicago for your Grandma and Grandpa Wilkin's wedding. It was a small and beautiful ceremony. We left here Friday after work and took a direct flight to Chicago. Luckily it was bottle and bed time for you, so you slept most of the journey. We meet up with Uncle Ross and Aunt Amber at baggage claim. Then we all went to Grandpa's house for some dinner and chit-chat. Then your Daddy and I drove out to your Grandma Lumsden's house to spend the night. On Saturday, we hung around with Grandma and Grandpa Lumsden until it was time for the wedding. Here's a shot of us getting ready to go:

I don't have all the pictures from the wedding yet, but I am sure they will be posted on Uncle Ross's website soon. The ceremony was lovely and I was even honored to do a reading. Once again, it was bottle time for you, so you preoccupied during the service. After the ceremony was the reception. You were passed around for about an hour and then Grandma Lumsden's babysitting service picked you up. It was time for the adults to party! It was fun to see everyone and catch up. Sunday we spent the day out at the Lumsdens relaxing and playing the Wii they got for Christmas. Here's a shot of you having some tummy time during the visit:

Monday Morning, your Daddy and I packed up and headed to the new Mr. and Mrs. Wilkin's house for the day. The flight home was uneventful but you did have a little crying spell on the plane. All in all, you have become quite the seasoned traveler! We had a great time in Chicago and of course it went way too fast. It seems like I daydream about visiting forever and then it goes by in the blink on an eye.
I love you son,
Love,
Mom
